Our Judges
First up on our judges panel is Luna Mena Gadea!! Luna is a choreographer for the Spanish @girosdancecompany She coaches two kids competition groups ‘Petit Giruka and G-Babes’ who have won every competition they’ve entered in the past 2 years, and one of them even danced for Justin Beiber on his tour in Madrid last year! She has travelled around Spain teaching workshops, and has recently moved to London to continue her career as an artist. She has worked commercially for VMA winner Lara Taylor, DJ Juan Magan and toured the UK with Adidas. Her background is in hip hop and urban dance but she has recently been experimenting with contemporary.

Meet our second judge, Helen Duffy! After graduating from Bird College in 2014, Helen completed a professional semester at Broadway Dance Center in New York, where she continued her theatre and tap training. Whilst training, she continued to perform at both corporate and theatre events before her choreography was selected for the Professional Showcase at the Alvin Ailey Theatre. As well as performing with Old Kent Road, Helen is also a member of tap dance company Sole Rebel Tap performing and teaching across the UK. Having just returned from a year tap dancing in Barcelona, where she received a scholarship to study at Dansa Escola Luthier. After touring for the summer with Old Kent Road Helen is now based in Germany creating and performing with tap dancer Sebastian Weber.

Our third and final judge is Borja Palacios! Borja, from Valencia, Spain is a professional dancer, teacher and has also choreographed two national championship crews. Additionally he often leads workshops and masterclasses around Spain. His passions are working and travelling. Which have taken him to experience professional opportunities in Italy, London, Spain, China and Mumbai. Borja recently moved to London to further develop his career as an artist.

UCL's First Ever Inter-University Dance Competition took place on December 12th. 2015 at Student Central, Malet Street.

Our Judges
Jason De La Blanca AKA @JasonACameron is an established dancer, choreographer , voguer and fitness instructor. He is currently working at Gymbox teaching his own creative class @waackandvoguefitness and is best know for his jaw dropping performances in heels and drag performance.
Jason is trained in styles like waacking, voguing, house, contemporary, hip-hop and more. |
Ryan Munroe studied a BA at London Contemporary Dance School. He hadchoreographed for two universal record artists, a solo at the Lilian Baylis Theatre, music videos and fashion shows. His current projects are dancing and choreographing along side Valerie Ebuwa for our dance collective.

Avalon was awarded a full time scholarship to the train at the renowned vocational dance school- Bird College.
Her career highlights include performing in the opening ceremony of the London 2012 OLYMPICS and recently creating her own company 'Old Kent Road', which premiered their first work 'Fall out' for Resolution! 2015 at 'The Place', London. Here in London Avalon teaches at Bird College, Pineapple Dance Studios and South London Dance Studios. |
