Laura Hey everyone! I'm Laura & I'm a third year Biomedic. I dance just about every single style, but my favourites are between latin and contemporary! I'm really excited to work with you all for the next year, I hope you guys will love UCLU Dance Soc as much as I do :) |
Treasurer:
Amelia Hi everyone, I'm Amelia and I'm a second year studying Human Sciences. I started dancing when I was 12 and mostly do Jazz but I'm starting Tap this year too! I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone and having a great year with Dance Soc. See you all soon! |
Vice President:
Zoe Hi everyone! My name is Zoe, and I'm a 3rd year Pharmacy student. I have been dancing since I was 4 years old, and am so happy that I could continue dancing at university. My favourite dance styles are contemporary, jazz, ballet and tap, but I also love giving new styles a go! |
Bloomsbury Producer:
Pedram Hi, I'm Pedram. I'm currently studying Bioprocessing of New Medicines and Business Management. I've been a part of Dance Society since 2010. My primary dance style is salsa and Latin American dances such as bachata and merengue. This is the most exciting year for me as I will be producing our 30th Bloomsbury Dance Show in March. Can't wait to meet all the talented members of the society this year |
Communications Officer:
Rosie Hey! I'm Rosie, a final year psychology student. I love all kinds of dance but do mainly jazz and contemporary at uni. I probably went to the weirdest dance school when I was young (doing dance styles like disco and musical comedy - what even?) but eventually trained in ballet and jazz more seriously. Super excited to be on the committee for this fab society and I'll see y'all about! |
Liaisons Officer:
Leanne HI I’M LEANNE! I’m a third year Politics and East European Studies student and this year, I deal with booking teachers for dance society’s weekly classes! I’ve been trained in hip hop and street for about 7 years now, and have recently ventured into contemporary and ballet in the last few years. If you see me flailing in ballet or contemporary classes in the coming year, come say hey and laugh at my awkwardness! |

Kira My name is Kira and I'm in my third year studying Ancient World Studies. I am mainly a Street dancer but I also enjoy Jazz and Contemporary |

Benjamin Hi! I'm Ben, a 2nd year student studying Biological Sciences. I mainly do break and hiphop in Dance Soc. Being a typical geek, I love to read manga/watch anime in my free time, and play Ultimate Frisbee. You can usually hear my distinctive voice before you see me, so keep your ears peeled! |
Resident Choreographer:
Caroline Hi I'm Caroline. I dance commercial street and jazz and love to choreograph! I study Italian and Latin and I'm excited to be your resident choreographer this year and can't wait to dance with all of you! |
Social Secretary:
Jasmine Hey! I'm Jasmine Botchey I'm 19 years of age, A second year history student at SSEES (the school of slovanic and Eastern European studies) and i also do a bit of Russian on the side! Im from London (a fun fact I am also a twin!) I have been dancing, singing and acting since I was six! Ballet, tap, street, jazz, modern, contemp the whole lot (altough Jazz is my fav!) I'm the new social sec this year and I'm sooo excited for my new role! I want to try and pack as much as we can in between shows and competitions and make dance society more personal for all of the members this year. Dance society has honestly been the best experience of my UCL life so far, I've made the best of friends, I have taken part some of the best shows I've ever done and I've just had the greatest time of my life! |
Scheduling Officer:
Emma Hey I’m Emma and I’m so excited to be Scheduling Officer for this year! I’m currently in my second year studying medicine but when I’m not in lectures I take every opportunity I have to dance. I’m mainly a tap and ballet dancer but I love trying new styles. I hope to see you all around! |
Volunteering Officer:
Tia Hi, I’m Tia and I’m a third year Natural Sciences student. I’m majoring in Molecular and Cell Biology with a minor in Physics. My role in the Dance Society is Volunteering Officer, and my preferred styles of dance are contemporary, ballet and tap. |

Natasha Hi! I’m Natasha & I’m a fifth year medic. I’ve been dancing since I was 3 in many styles including ballet, contemporary and jazz. Here’s favourite dance quote--“Dance enables you to lose yourself and find yourself at the same time" |

Jessi Hi guys! I'm Jessi and I am a 2nd year Biochemical Engineer. I danced Ballet for many years until I got into Hiphop/Street. I also want to try out more dance styles this year! Neina Hey, I’m Neina! I’m a first year Biochemistry student. I’ve been dancing ballet for 10 years now, and that’s the style I mainly dance in. I do have some experience in contemporary and hip hop, and I’m hoping to improve in them through UCLU dance society! So if you see me around, come talk to me :) |

Jackie Hi everyone! I’m Jackie, a first year medical student. I’m trained in ballet and tap, but I’ve been branching out into other styles such as jazz, contemporary, and street. I’m thrilled to be involved with the Dancesoc committee this year. As a fresher myself, I hope to reach out to more freshers (and non-freshers) to give them the best experience at Dancesoc.
