Here at UCL we have street classes in two levels; beginner and advanced, taught by our fabulous teacher Tarek. You can find out more about our teachers here.
Beginner street runs on Tuesday 6 - 7 and advanced is from 7 - 8, with classes held on main campus.
You're welcome to come along to either class, or both if you're not sure which would suit you best!

About Street
Those sassy, hair-whipping dance videos you see on Youtube? Lots of hip-twisting, chest-pumping and the occasional twerk?
That’s Street for you - or also commonly known as Commercial.
A relatively up-and-coming new style, street is not your traditional strict dance-studio-taught genre. Termed as a “vernacular dance”, street evolved in whatever open, urban space that was available, literally hitting the streets, which is why it is most known for its social nature. It acts as an umbrella term for the more commonly known styles like b-boying, breaking, popping and locking. In the UCL sense, though, our version of Street is more on the Commercial side - i.e., the more sexy, diva and powerful style. Want to strut your stuff, twist your body and feel empowered? Street is for you!
